Ways To Stay Fit If You Are Feeling Lazy

Writer: cesphysiorehabcesphysiorehab

Want to be active but do not have the motivation to do exercises? Here are some tips for you to stay fit on lazy days.

1. Stick to 10s

Try to do 10 push-ups, 10 sit-ups or 10 jumping jacks each day. When you find doing sets of 10 being too easy, you can increase the number of sets that fit your pace.

2. Take the Stairs

If you are working in an office building, or you live in an apartment or condo with elevators, try taking the stairs instead the next time you are going out. If you live on a high floor, try to take the stairs halfway and then step into an elevator.

3. Stand up at least every hour

Make a conscious effort to get up at least once an hour. Go on a washroom break, make a round for tea or coffee. Most importantly is to remember to stay hydrated and to eat your meals.

4. Walk for at least 20 minutes a day

Go on a walk around the block before dinner. Grab a friend or family member and catch up on each other’s day.

5. Run for just one song

Choose your most favourite song, give it your all and you would not even realize when the song is over.

6. Work out during advertisements

While watching a TV show, do a mini-workout while the advertisements are playing. Mix in a circuit of lunges, burpees, or squats and then you can reward yourself by lounging on the sofa. Turn it into a game. Each time a favourite character shows up or you hear a certain word or a certain action plays, do a set of 10 jumping jacks or push-ups.
